Welcome to EYFS
A very warm welcome to all our new families joining the Parklea community! We’re so excited to begin this journey with you as your child gets ready to start school in September. At Parklea, we believe that every child has the opportunity to grow and achieve, achieve and grow and we can’t wait to see your little ones flourish as part of our caring school family. Whether you are already familiar with the school, or just beginning your journey with us, we hope you will find this information page helpful.
This page will be your go-to hub for all things transition, keeping you up to date with key information and upcoming events to help your child settle in happily and confidently.
To make the transition as smooth (and fun!) as possible, we’ve planned a range of exciting activities — including home visits, stay and play sessions, and our much-loved Teddy Bears’ Picnic. These experiences will help children get to know their new teachers, make friends, and feel right at home before they start full time in September. We’ll also be working closely with your child’s nursery to make sure the move from nursery to reception is seamless.
At Parklea, our values of Equality, Curiosity, Passion, and Perseverance guide everything we do — from the way we learn together to how we support one another as a community.
We’d love for you to explore the rest of our website to find out more about our staff, curriculum, and the wonderful things happening across our school, including our approach to special educational needs and inclusion.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the school office or by emailing us at school@parklea.co.uk
We can’t wait to welcome you to the Parklea family — where we grow and achieve, achieve and grow!
